Most unprofessesional grooming I have ever received. Did not even wash the dog or blow loose hair out. Matter was caked around her eyes. I took the dog home and immediately bathed her. Cut was a disaster--thank goodness he dog grows hair back rapidly. DONT USE THIS PLACE!!!! Honestly, I am not a groomer but I can do much better. I'd like to give them MINUS 5 stars. I will NEVER RETURN!
As a new resident of Yorktown, and mom to two little fur babies I was excited to see a store called "A Place for Pets". So the first opportunity I got I walked in to see what it was all about. I was completely appalled to find the groomer furthest from the front window with both hands full of a pups face fur yelling "would you just stop!" When they realized I walked in (blow dryers prevented them from hearing the door) they were silent. I am sure they were stunned. I try to think of another explanation for what I saw.....but the bottom line is, my little guys will never go there. I don't even want to give it one star.
"I have taken my pet to the following location and known these groomers to be quite well with all the animals. More than likely in this situation the animal could have been showing aggression toward to groomer or acting in a manner that could harm the pet seeing how the groomer uses sharp scissors or clippers in the grooming process. I believe that this post could be seen as slander against the groomer and company not to mention offers no helpful advice considering the poster didn't even use the service that they are reviewing about."
As for my own personal experience with A Place 4 Pets, I have backed one groomer in particular there since before the shop even opened, and she worked for a local pet store. I have taken many dogs there from the time they were old enough to be bathed until the time they passed away and NEVER had a bad experience. I have always had a nice close personal relationship with my pet groomer and no matter what have always had the best results. Not to mention A Place 4 Pets being the most affordable shop in the area, the majority of the groomers there have well over 20 years of experience. I have and will always refer any of my friends or family to them with no hesitation. Thank you Mrs. Angela and team for a wonderful experience time after time!
I have used this groomer three times now and have been pleased each time with how my dog looks when she is finished. Also, the groomer is personable and has been helpful in suggesting techniques and brushes to use to keep up with her between grooms. She is very friendly and I feel comfortable leaving my dog in her care. I will definitely be continuing to use this groomer.
