Planning our wedding, and the staff/family are more than just accommodating. This establishment is full of personality and welcoming hospitality. From the first step inside to the last moment spent before the drive out of town, you're constantly soaking up the relaxing atmosphere and constantly feeling like you're more at home than you could ever feel, even at your own home. David and Phil embody true laid back approaches to everything, and each interaction is like talking with your favorite relative that saves you at that family functions. We can't wait for our big day, and can't wait for all our loved ones to experience this beautiful ambiance we feel during every visit.
Owners are super friendly and the rooms are well appointed. Really a lovely house in a lovely location.
Great B&B. Quiet, lot of history here & within walking distance. Owner cooks a great breakfast. While u eat, he tells history of house & Yorktown. Worth the trouble of traffic & finding. Once here (getting thru Newsports News traffic) it is well worth that trouble.
On warm autumn days I dream of returning to Yorktown and the Hornsby House! We stayed here a few Octobers back and had the best experience! The food was great, the hosts accommodating and the property is an amazing old house, tastefully decorated. I still talk about how the bedding and pillows were the softest and most luxurious of any bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at! Looking forward to visiting again someday!
